Am Flutgraben 2, 12435 Berlin, Berlin

10 albums in 21 years—quite a lot. 126 songs, to be exact, all created by the same alert spirit that is in Aki Bosse's head. And those are just the songs that made it onto the albums. Because even in 2026, BOSSE is not only one of the biggest live attractions in the country, but also still an artist who thinks in terms of albums, in coherent song collections, not in ephemeral, evaporated music fragments with maximum TikTok potential. An artist who releases music because he can't help himself.

About the event

10 albums in 21 years—quite a lot. 126 songs, to be exact, all created by the same alert spirit that is in Aki Bosse's head. And those are just the songs that made it onto the albums. Because even in 2026, BOSSE is not only one of the biggest live attractions in the country, but also still an artist who thinks in terms of albums, in coherent song collections, not in ephemeral, evaporated music fragments with maximum TikTok potential. An artist who releases music because he can't help himself.

His latest work is called “Stable Poetry” and, as always, there is a lot of truth in the title. There is nothing artificial here, but direct observations, without shyness and double ground, but with empathy — German-language pop music with maximum soul. He is interested in empowerment, keeping hope even in difficult times and not lying down in resignation. The basic essence of this is contained in the song 'Recognizing Beauty'. The single 'Lass Dich nicht fucken' is particularly meaningful, a track that has received an enormous response on social media and highlights a central problem of our time: The nefariousness with which people are disparaged on social media. Triggered by the shitstorm against a girlfriend, BOSSE addresses the increasingly disinhibiting language of digital violence in the text. The word 'to screw' is deliberately chosen because it is the word with which female readers are most often insulted. The almost chanson-like lightness of the music provides a targeted contrast to the content. He regards the fact that many of those affected used the track on the Internet and that there was noticeable solidarity among the contributions as a strong sign against hate.

After the album 'Übers Träumen', which was very closed in terms of content, BOSSE wanted to move away from an overall lyrical concept and let himself drift more freely. Sing without a frame about the various things that are currently bothering him. And so “Stable Poetry” has become above all an encouraging album. Boss's lyrics are about thirst for life, longing, change and letting go, solidarity, resilience and a clear attitude in exhausting times. His vision was to make a musically diverse album, with complex string arrangements, lots of real instruments and, if you use synthesizers, then as analog as possible. After a long break, Philipp Steinke, who has also supervised the successful albums' Cranes' and 'Engtanz', was recorded in his studio in Sicily. 'Stable Poetry' is audibly influenced by his subtle productions — particularly in the string and piano arrangements. For BOSSE, working together again feels like coming home.

In fact, the warm production keeps the different themes of the album together. After the ode to the father, there is now one to his little sister ('sister heart”), there is a longing for the quieter past without digital overload in 'Nokia', but also the call not to lose yourself in nostalgia and to accept change, in the song, which ironically is called 'past. ' The Bossa Nova 'peu à peu' also deals with the theme of “separating oneself in good and making peace with what was to be concluded”, musically light-footed—more difficult in terms of content, but not devastating.

All of this is supported by Aki Boss's presence, only twice has he added small splashes of color from the outside. 'Love doesn't have forever time' revolves around the moment when limbo wears you down and you need the courage to make a decision. Inspired by 1920s shellac aesthetics, BOSSE deliberately left the song's outro to Tim Fischer — an artist who accompanied him early on and whose voice gives the song that timeless patina. Musically, the other end of the 'stable poetry' spectrum is the pulsing 'Everything Bitte' with its electronic beats and pitched vocals. If you juxtapose the two songs, they initially seem to come from different worlds. It is precisely this contrast that is the appeal: In 'Einmal alles bitte', BOSSE combines so many new sonic facets than ever before — including a distinctive spoken-word part that comes from the album's second feature guest: Poetry artist Clara Lösel has written a suitable poem for this, which deepens the message of taking as much as possible from life. In her work, Clara Lösel combines poetic concentration with a keen sense of social issues—thus expanding the narrative level of the album. 'Stable Poetry' is an album like a good friend: It hugs you, but it also clearly tells you what you think when it's necessary. And with stable poetry and a clear attitude, it makes the world a bit better for a moment.
