Brazil & the Gallowbrothers Band

We invite you to the concert of Brasil & the Gallowbrothers Band — a project that defies genre definitions. The band draws from the traditions of experiment, minimalism, krautrock, folk and spiritual jazz, creating hypnotic, elaborate improvisations. The concert at BDK is one of the stops on the tour promoting the latest album, released by Bocian Records — Record, Erase... Start Over Again. After four years of silence, the band returns in an extended quartet line-up:

Rafał Michałowski — guitar,

Tomek Mirt — organ, melotron, piano,

Maciej Rodakowski — baritone and tenor saxophone

Andrzej Załęski — drums.

The band debuted with the album “The Band Plays On, The Dunes Move On (Caught Me With My Eyes Closed)” released by the American band Last Visible Dog. Then for years he was associated with the Polish MonotypeRec. For which he recorded the albums “Legionowo” and “Hi Brasil is Where we Are”. After a ten-year break, the group returned in 2020 as a duo (Tomek Mirt/Rafał Michałowski) with the album “Nasielsk Incident” recorded for Kosmodrone. Over the past four years, the line-up has expanded to include the current quartet, which is producing the latest release — “Record, Erase... Start Over Again”. The album was released by Bocian Records. Each of the five tracks on the album is also accompanied by video clips by Andrzej Załęski.
