Breakfast with Bournonville

Company B consists of 8 and 9 p.m. from the Royal Theatre's Ballet School and is the world's first professional ballet company for, with and by children

The young dancers have created this year's Breakfast with Bournonville, where they tackle themed topics that are filling for them and their peers. In the performance, the young dancers blend their classical ballet technique with burgeoning choreographic creativity. Together with the theatre's light, sound, video and costume department, Kompagni B has once again created a sensuous, energetic performance.

Breakfast with Bournonville opens the theater to a new generation of audiences, and was created especially for Company B's peers in 7th, 8th and 9th grades. Please note that tickets for this performance are free, but can only be booked by schools and educational institutions.

The aim of Kompagni B's work is to open up the classical arts and offer spaces for reflection and sensing, at eye level with their peer audiences. In the process of creation, the young dancers have been challenged to examine and expand their abilities in performance dramaturgy, choreographic composition and movement expression so that they can convey what they have at heart to the audience. We hope that a meeting with Kompagni B will give the students in the audience a sense of ballet as a living art form and style.

Company B is looking forward to taking Gamle Scene and seeing all their peers in the hall for a production filled with dance, video and music.
