The new season has begun! Theatre director Striese and his tingling chaos troupe are once again on the road through the German countryside. Her next guest performance takes her to Neustadt an der Dosse, where Striese accidentally hands on the manuscript of an opera: The sumptuous setting of a Roman tragedy was written by school director Gollwitz, who, however, keeps the work under wraps for fear of his buttoned up wife. About the event
With Boards That Mean the World, the Komische Oper Berlin is bringing another successful piece of the GDR's “Cheerful Music Theatre” back on stage in semi-concert form. Gerhard Kneifel's turbulent musical version of Schwank The Rape of the Sabine Women features chic ragtime, slow rock and lots of joke. With Striese's hiking troupe, “Mississippi Music” is coming to the Baltic Sea resort, the Bossa Nova to Brandenburg — and above all: finally high culture in the smallest town!
