Although the character of Józef Piłsudski should not be alien to anyone, not everyone knows that one of his brothers, Bronisław Piłsudski, was an outstanding ethnographer. His work owes us descriptions of numerous cultures, including the customs of the Ainu people living in the north of the island of Hokkaido. He also developed invaluable modern dictionaries of the endangered languages of that region. We cordially invite you to take part in the lecture, which will introduce the listeners to the still widely unknown Ainu culture and the contribution of the Polish researcher to its preservation.
Date, time: November 8, from 15:00 to 16:00 Duration: 1 hour Language of the class: Polish Limit of participants: 40 Target group: adolescents from 16 years old, adults Cost: PLN 10/participant
