Bruno Philippe cello ; Tanguy de Williencourt piano

Regular duo partners Bruno Philippe and Tanguy de Williencourt drew critical acclaim in 2015 following release of their debut album of works by Schumann and Brahms, prompting The Strad to praise their ‘subtly interpreted performances’. Their lunchtime programme journeys deep into the heartland of the Romantic repertoire, opening with the folk-like style of Schumann’s 5 Stücke and embracing the passionate dialogue between cello and piano, equal partners in Rachmaninov’s entrancing Cello Sonata.
