What would happen if we could enter the painting? What would we hear, feel and see there? What would be the temperature? What could be outside the frame?
During the workshop we will select several paintings from the exhibition and try to look inside them. With the help of movement, we will bring the worlds depicted on them to life, tell their stories and see what could happen a moment before... or a moment later.
The inspiration for the activities is the exhibition Olga Boznańska and... Polish painting of the 19th and early 20th centuries from the collection of the National Museum in Gdańsk. We will explore the space of the Abbot Palace and creatively interact with its architecture and works of art. Our compass will be our own perspective and appetite for answers. Through movement and creative play, we will discover ways to perceive what is around us. We will connect threads, shapes and colors, looking for your personal perspective on the stories associated with museum exhibits. Perhaps this look will sometimes be from very close, from afar or upside down?
