The series of events at the Kunstbibliothek Buchsalon is all about the book. Maren Wienigk, curator of the Architecture and Ornament Collection, and Michael Lailach, curator of the Book Art Collection, talk to their guests about new and old books.
Twelfth guest: Günter Karl Bose is a designer, author and collector. From 1980 to 1995 he was a publisher in Berlin (Brinkmann & Bose), from 1993 to 2018 professor of typography at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, where he headed the Institute of Book Art founded in 1955. He is the author of numerous publications on the history of literature and media. We talk to him about his time as a university teacher, about special book projects for students and the Institute of Book Arts.
