BY ANY MEANS is based on the true story of a young black FBI agent (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) who is sent to Mississippi in the 1960s to investigate a series of brutal murders of civil rights advocates. As the investigation grinds to a halt, he is forced to cooperate with notorious gangster and hitman Greg Scarpa (Mark Wahlberg). From opposite sides of the law, the two men throw themselves into a ferocious pursuit of the perpetrators, where the line between justice and revenge begins to crack.
