After many years of struggle with heart disease, Halina Powiatowska, the first lady of love lyrics, passed away in Warsaw on October 11, 1967. A woman who throughout her life wandered around sanatoriums and hospitals and, despite this, managed to create a text filled with love, intensity and tenderness. Treated with a certain amount of condescension during her lifetime, she is today considered one of the greatest Polish poets of the 20th century.
Powiatowska's poems have already appeared as part of the Bydgoszcz Poetry and Music Salons on the occasion of our previous meetings, but this time it is time to dedicate a separate event to them. From the debut Idol Hymn to the last volume — One More Memory — let's listen to this praise of life!
They will read: Zhenia Doliak, Michalina Rodak
Musical setting: Monika Dudek — flute
