About the event

What would the city look like if all the artistic ideas for its space were realized? See projects of murals, mosaics and interventions by the students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.

We invite you to the exhibition presenting students' projects created under the direction of Dr. Joanna Pałys in the Studio of Design of Architectural Painting and Art in Public Space of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.

The studio focuses on creating art that goes beyond the gallery walls and becomes part of the urban landscape. There are projects of murals, mosaics, spatial objects and smaller interventions of street art works that have the chance to co-create the character of a common space and influence the way we perceive our cities.

The exhibition allows you to look behind the scenes of the design process, a stage that usually remains invisible to passers-by. It is here that ideas are born, the first sketches, visualizations and concepts are created, some of which may appear in the public space in the future.

The realization of a mural or a large artistic installation is a project that requires time, financial resources and the cooperation of many people. Therefore, many interesting projects remain at the concept stage. This exhibition gives them a chance to exist and invites you to launch your imagination.

What would the city look like if all these ideas were realized? Which places would gain new energy through art? Together, we can look at these visions, reflect on the potential of urban spaces and see the enormous power of well-designed public art — not only as an ornament, but also as a way of building the identity of a place and the relationships between its inhabitants.
