You were and be! - Zaucha Fest

Andrzej Zaucha wrote his legend with every note played and every sound he sang. He is undoubtedly one of the best singers in the history of Polish entertainment music, who also played perfectly on the saxophone and drums. He never received a musical education — he was a self-taught man who had an extraordinary sense of rhythm and ease of combining different styles and genres of music.

The project You Were and Be crowning this year's Zaucha Fest 2026 festival will be much more than a concert. Artists associated with Krakow will introduce us deeply into the work of Andrzej Zaucha. It will be a story that takes us through his beginnings and the blossoming of his career. Through the songs of Jambli, Anawa and solo. Through the songs that hums under the nose of each of us and the songs that for many will be an absolute discovery.

This show will be created for you by artists who have been known and appreciated in Krakow for years. Igo, Renata Przemyk, Andrzej Dąbrowski, Hanka Wójciak, Jasiek Piwowarczyk and Sandra Mika will co-create the musical show on stage.
