A special highlight of the evening is the authentic Egyptian candle light dance (shamadan) — a traditional wedding dance in which an artistic candlestick is worn on the head. Accompanied by the characteristic sounds of finger cymbals (Sagat), an impressive atmosphere is created that has been an integral part of Egyptian wedding celebrations for generations.

The festive prelude is a stylish opening dance to the timeless classic “Set El Hosen” (“Lady of Beauty”) — an homage to the elegance and expressiveness of oriental dance.

In addition to classical compositions, the audience can expect modern pop pieces as well as a specially choreographed, contemporary overture in Katharina Joumana's unmistakable dance style, which combines tradition and modernity in a fascinating way.

The program is presented by Katharina Joumana's dance ensemble Oriental Roses, which impresses with expressive choreographies, precision and stage presence.
