Thumbelina

The play “Thumbelina” is an adventurous and touching story about a tiny girl who goes on an extraordinary journey in search of herself and the place to which she belongs.

Born from a flower, the title character takes her first steps under the tender eye of Mom. However, this peace does not last forever, because that same night Thumbelina is... kidnapped! This is only the first stop on her way — after all, the swamp is not her world. Only where is he actually? Thumbelina asks herself this question during all subsequent meetings — with Pisces, Snails, Mouse and Crete. Although each of these characters wants to keep the girl with them, she nowhere feels fully herself and fully accepted. It seems that it does not fit anywhere... Fortunately, she turns out to be wrong and finally Thumbelina finds her safe haven.

The show gives comfort that no seclusion and sadness last forever and that everyone sooner or later will find their place and discover what makes them happy. The play “Thumbelina” is a warm, wise story about the courage to explore the world, kept in the spirit of Andersen, told using as many as 18 dolls! You will also hear 11 songs in the show. Doesn't that sound great?
