THUMBELINA

THUMB — a tiny girl — born in the bud of a flower — wandering in search of her own world, following her heart's voice, her dreams, her desires...

On the themes of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, a text and a play by Artur Romanski were created, telling about the extraordinary travels of the tiny heroine, her encounters with a colorful gallery of characters: the imperious mother Toad, the unwitting Ropuszyson, the self-confident Count of Łąszcz, the busy Mouse, a little demonic Crete, the benevolent Swallow. Each meeting leaves a mark on Thumbelina, but nothing changes her decision to find the mysterious Land of the Elves... The musical performance is saturated with melodic, moody songs. The costume — emphasizing the unique character of each character — and the spectacular scenography make the show attractive to both younger and older audiences.
