Nairobi, late 90s: Quinta, known as “Queen”, knows how to make ends meet as a single mother in Kenya's capital. Among other things, she offers herself to correspondent Anna as a housekeeper. While friendship grows between the two women, Queen falls ill with AIDS. With Anna's help, she receives the appropriate treatment just in time. From then on, she is fighting against the taboo surrounding the disease and against WTO agreements that deny Africa affordable medicines.
