Camerata Silesia/Shostak/ Folk inspirations

Folk music has occupied an important place in the achievements of Polish composers for decades. It could not be missing in the music of artists of the second half of the 20th century, who eagerly turned to folklore. Traces of this interest can be found in the works of folk music by Krzysztof Penderecki, Wojciech Kilar, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki and Witold Szalonek. Although the names of the composers are primarily associated with their greatest symphonic and choral works, folk music also occupied an important place in their work. The concert will be an opportunity to discover this lesser-known and extremely interesting face of their achievements.
