Proxima, Warszawa

Deadly hat-trick in Warsaw. Three bands that have had a huge impact on the deathcore and brutal death metal landscape in the 21st century join forces and embark on a joint tour. Carnifex, Despised Icon and Suffocation will perform together on November 17 at the Proxima Club in the capital, where they will be accompanied by Gates To Hell.

About the event

Place: Warsaw, Proxima

Carnifex, which has been in operation since 2005, has 9 albums, and their discography closes with the “Necromanteum” released 3 years ago. The band from San Diego for 20 years has earned the title of one of the most important representatives of the genre, and the concert in Warsaw will show you why - their sonic blows will break all your bones.

Canadian deathcore pioneers from Despised Icon returned late last year with their first fullback in six years. On Nuclear Blast's “Shadow Work”, the band serves their signature mix of extreme death metal and hardcore, which gains the most in concert conditions.

Suffocation's debut album, 1991's “Effigy of the Forgotten” was a milestone for the entire genre - it combined ruthless brutality with an unsurpassed level of technique, giving rise to the style known today as brutal death metal. Songs like “Liege of Inveracity” and “Infecting the Crypts” remain role models for hundreds of younger bands to this day, and the influence of Suffocation can be heard from brutal death to slam to modern deathcore. Their latest album so far, “Hymns from the Apocrypha” (2023), proves that the band can still play intensely and densely, without falling into a rut.

The evening will be opened by the formation Gates To Hell, which combines fast, aggressive riffs with deathcore breakdowns, standing out on the Kentucky stage. Last year, Nuclear Blast released their second album, Death Comes To All.
