Carpark Nord

Get a shot of rock nostalgia with iconic Carpark North in VEGA

Since their breakthrough with “Transparent & Glasslike” in 2003, the trio behind Carpark North — Lau Højen, Søren Balsner and Morten Thorhauge — have left an indelible imprint on Danish rock. Known for their powerful sound and visual live productions, Carpark North always delivers concerts with intense energy and community feeling.

The band's most recent release is a double album entitled AIR. The first part of AIR was released at the beginning of 2024 with the precursor single 'If I Were Your King', which went straight into the Top 10 on the airplay chart, and once again Carpark North manifested as the hit makers they have been in the Danish music landscape for the last 20 years.

AIR — Part I is a deep look inward into poetry — into the band's own tales of divorce, death, love and longing. Part II is the band's musical explosion, where they blow up the framework of what people perceive them to be. Here they delve into deep rave, uncosiness, sex, soul, silence and otherworldly big songs.

With the release of the double album AIR, Carpark North completes the circle of their creative process of the last three years. At the same time, they also invite the listener into their lives over the past few years with an album that shows an unprecedented personal side of the band.

The album is an insight into Carpark North anno 2025. And just as life bristles in every direction, so does this double album. AIR is Carpark North's most creative and exciting release to date, the band explains in a press release.

With the new album fresh from the press, the band will embark on a tour of Denmark in 2026, where they will also make their way past Store VEGA. Here we get the opportunity to hear the songs from AIR live, but don't worry, there will still be room for iconic hits like “Transparent and Glasslike”, “32” and “Shall We Be Grateful”.
