Casper Christensen will take over the Bremen Theatre with his new show in 2027!

Fifteen years after his latest comedy show, Casper Christensen is returning to the live stage. Not with a comeback, but with a redefinition of him as a comedian and entertainer. In 2027 he will come to Bremen with his new show My Grandfather Went in Women's Clothing — a personal, absurd and unpredictable show in which Casper Christensen stands alone on stage. It's comedy, but of course it's also a lot more when it comes from the man who has been impossible to control and put in a stall in the entertainment industry for the past 40 years.

My grandfather wore women's clothing. It's the title of Casper Christensen's new comedy hybrid show -- and at the same time a very precise invitation to the universe audiences can expect to step into when he returns to the live stage.

Fifteen years after his latest comedy show, Casper Christensen has once again found himself wanting to stand in front of an audience. Not to repeat something he has already done, but to examine what happens when he gives himself the freedom to let curiosity, playfulness and humor set the direction.

“I don't want to limit myself. I wanted to create a show where I could use everything that I think is fun, but also important,” says Casper Christensen.

The new show mixes the personal, the absurd and the unpredictable. There is no ambition here to stay within one particular form or genre. Instead, Casper Christensen invites the audience into a universe where personal narratives, wry observations, revelations and surprising sidings and jokes can coexist.

Casper continues: “I've discovered how happy I am to be standing on stage again. It has made me want to do a new “comedy” show — but on my own terms.”

For more than four decades, Casper Christensen has made his mark on Danish comedy by always challenging humour — from the Casper & Mandril Agreement and Far from Las Vegas to Clown.
