Cassius Cobbson

Cassius Cobbson is an artist, multi-Instrumentalist & producer whose project blends piano, keyboards and spoken word with Jazz, Afro Beat, Electronica, R&B and Fusion, creating contemporary soundscapes with an old-school feel. Inspired by the world around him, his music reflects a wide range of influences. His debut album SANKOFA (2023) received recognition from BBC Radio programmes hosted by Robert Elms and Jess Iszatt. In 2025, he released the single L.A. Sunsets I, filmed in Los Angeles. Cassius will release a new 5-track EP in October 2026 ahead of his performance at the EFG London Jazz Festival this November.

Cassius Cobbson is a North London-based Artist, Multi-Instrumentalist and Producer whose self-titled project blends piano, keyboards and spoken word with an expansive mix of Jazz, Afro Beat, Electronica, R&B and Fusion. Creating contemporary sonic soundscapes with an old-school feel, Cassius draws inspiration from the world around him, constantly exploring new sounds and musical textures in pursuit of a style entirely his own. His music reflects a wide spectrum of influences, from legendary artists including Carlos Santana, Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix and John Coltrane to contemporary innovators such as Moses Boyd, Yussef Kamaal, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.

In 2022, Cassius released his debut singles “LDN” and “AKWAABA,” the latter receiving strong support through the BBC Introducing network and gaining airplay on the BBC Radio London programme hosted by Robert Elms, curated by Jess Iszatt. Building on that momentum, he released his anticipated debut album SANKOFA in August 2023 — an 8-track project showcasing his genre-crossing approach and artistic vision. The album earned further recognition across BBC Radio platforms and introduced listeners to Cassius’ immersive blend of rhythm, melody and storytelling.

Continuing to evolve creatively, Cassius released the single “L.A. Sunsets I” in 2025, accompanied by a music video filmed in Los Angeles (2027). The single marked the beginning of a new chapter and serves as the first single from his forthcoming second album, scheduled for release in 2027. Ahead of this, Cassius has announced a new 5-track EP arriving in October 2026, featuring material he will showcase before performing at the EFG London Jazz Festival this November.
