About the event

The masterpieces of the two great eras meet in one concert of the Cavatina Philharmonic Orchestra. Under the baton of Michał Neserowicz and with the participation of the outstanding oboist Arkadiusz Krupa, the audience will hear a program that leads from the classical perfection of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to the romantic expression of Ludwig van Beethoven and Felix Mendelssohn.

The evening will open with the dramatic tension of Ludwig van Beethoven's overture “Egmont” — one of the composer's most outstanding orchestral works, inspired by the history of the struggle for freedom and marked by extraordinary force of expression.

Next, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major KV 314 will be played — one of the most important works in this instrument's repertoire. Full of elegance, lightness and melodic grace, the concert will be performed by Arkadiusz Krupa, a respected Polish oboist whose interpretations combine virtuosity with exceptional musicality.

The second part of the evening will be completed by Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3 in A minor, Op. 56 “Scotch”. Created under the influence of the composer's trip to Scotland, it impresses with its richness of colors, painterly soundscapes and characteristic romantic lyricism. It is one of the most outstanding achievements of symphonic music of the 19th century.

Classics and Romanticism in Music is a concert that shows the diversity of the European musical tradition — from a transparent form of classicism to romantic music full of emotion and imagination. This is a proposal for all lovers of symphonic music, who appreciate both outstanding orchestral works and masterful solo performances.
