Cavatina Philharmonic Orchestra — film music concert — Williams, Zimmer, Morricone

Coming soon to Cavatina Hall another unique proposal from the Cavatina Philharmonic Orchestra!

Concerts of film music of the orchestra are of great interest to the audience. This time, the artists will take viewers into the dark and tense world of cinema during the “Horror and Thriller Night”, and during the concert there will be no shortage of themes from famous titles of the world of big cinema. Behind the desk of the Cavatina Philharmonic Orchestra will be Maciej Sztor — a graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań in the symphonic conducting class of Prof. Jerzy Salwarowski, conductor and artistic director of the POSM Youth Chamber Orchestra. During his career, he has collaborated with NOSPR, Silesian, Poznań, Częstochowa and Lublin Philharmonic, and the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra.

Film music is his great passion and at the same time a professional specialty. He is fascinated by both the process of its creation and the performance art. He has a wide repertoire of American film music, collects original scores and has been creating and implementing his own music projects throughout Poland for years.

This is a new installment of the film music concert, in which there will be no shortage of emotions, disturbing sounds and iconic motifs known from the best horror and thrillers. An evening for thrill-seekers that cannot be missed!

The program will include unforgettable compositions from films and series that have been permanently inscribed in the history of cinema: Dracula, Psychosis, Jaws, Hateful Eight, Alien, Predator, Dark Knight, Twin Peaks, Game of Secrets, King Kong and I, Tonya. This is a unique opportunity to hear live music that builds tension, terror and mystery, yet captivates with its artistry and power of impact.
