Cavatina Philharmonic Orchestra — Easter Concert

On 24 March we invite you to Cavatina Hall in Bielsko-Biała for a unique Easter Concert, during which the Cavatina Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maciej Tworek will perform one of the most outstanding works of sacred music — the monumental “Messa da Requiem” by Giuseppe Verdi.

It is a composition that for more than 150 years has captivated with its grandeur, emotional depth and extraordinary power of expression. Verdi created a work combining spiritual reflection with operatic drama, making the Requiem one of the most performed oratorical works in the world today. Poignant passages such as the famous “Dies Irae” contrast with hopeful and lyrical parts, creating a musical experience that stays in the memory for a long time.

On the stage of Cavatina Hall, outstanding soloists will perform:

Kamila Dutkowska — soprano,

Ewa Menaszek — mezzo-soprano,

Rafał Bartmiński — tenor,

Wojciech Gerlach — bass.

The performance will also be performed by the Academic Choir of the Silesian University of Technology and the Choir of the University of Economics in Katowice, together with the Cavatina Philharmonic Orchestra, creating an impressive performance apparatus, necessary to fully show the monumental character of this masterpiece.

The Academic Choir of the Silesian University of Technology, operating continuously for 80 years under the artistic direction of Tomasz Giedwiłła, belongs to the leading Polish choral ensembles. He has won more than 50 awards and distinctions, has performed on the most important stages of Europe and the world, and in recent years has won, among others, the Grand Prix of the Leonardo da Vinci International Choral Festival in Florence and Gold Diplomas at international competitions in Spain.
