The former Delain front woman takes over the Pump House with new album in 2027
With new music on the way and a strong back catalogue, Charlotte invites Wessels to a concert where personal narratives and strong songs take centre stage. Melissa Bonny opens the evening as a special guest.
Since her solo debut in 2021, Charlotte Wessels has made her mark as a distinct voice on the modern metal scene. The Utrecht-based singer, songwriter and producer moves between symphonic expressions, alternative elements and darker pop tones, bound together by her distinctive vocals and strong storytelling.
With the 2024 album The Obsession, she took a big step forward. The release was praised for its emotional heaviness and its honest look at themes such as fear and OCD. The album also put a name to her current band, The Obsession, which has since toured widely in Europe.
Wessels and her band have played gigs with VOLA, performed at festivals such as Graspop and Hellfest and been part of a major arena tour in 2026 with EPICA and AMARANTHE. At the same time, she has built a close relationship with her fans through her Patreon, where thousands follow her creative process and monthly releases.
With a new studio album scheduled for the start of 2027, Charlotte Wessels is in the middle of a new chapter. The concert in Pumpehuset will be an opportunity to experience her up close, just as the next phase of her music takes shape.
