Chase & Status is one of the most influential and enduring pillars of British electronic music. For more than two decades, the duo, formed by Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status), has helped shape the sound and culture of British dance music, consistently combining drum & bass, jungle, rave, soundsystem culture and British rap, reaching audiences around the world with these sounds.
Known for both their productions and their ability to bring together artists representing different genres and generations, Chase & Status have worked with the most important names in British music including Stormzy, Kano, Giggs, J Hus, Little Simz and Wretch 32, as well as international artists such as Skrillex.
Their upcoming album, Generic Everything, will be released on October 9, 2026 and will begin the latest chapter in their career. The album, built around the idea of defying conformism in an increasingly unified creative landscape, consists of 10 tracks and gathers an extraordinary group of contributors including J Hus, Little Simz, Skrillex, Giggs, D Double E, Blanco, IRAH, Col3trane, Debbie, Saam Sultan, Finesse Kid and Ledbyher. Moving between rave, rap, soundsystem culture and electronic music, the album continues Chase & Status's long-standing tradition of bringing together unobvious artists and sounds while remaining rooted in their signature production.
Generic Everything is the successor to one of the most important periods in Chase & Status's career. “Baddadan” became a landmark anthem linking different musical worlds, spending more than 15 weeks in the top ten of the UK charts and achieving platinum status. In turn, “BACKBONE” with a guest appearance by Stormzy brought the duo their first single to the top of the UK charts. Chase & Status was also named British Producer of the Year at the BRIT Awards, adding to its track record of more than 2.5 billion plays worldwide.
Their influence is equally significant on the concert stage. From a record-breaking sold-out tour of the UK arenas and taking over the Milton Keynes National Bowl, to headlining performances at major festivals, Chase & Status have built a reputation as one of Britain's most impressive live electronic bands. In 2026, this momentum continued with headliners at the British Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, a surprise B2B set with Skrillex at Boomtown, and Main Stage headliners at Reading & Leeds.
In addition to large-scale concerts, Chase & Status continue to develop club culture through SECTION 63, a concert concept created to challenge the conventions of traditional DJ performance and restore the energy and immediacy of underground rave culture.
More than twenty years after starting their career, Chase & Status are still driven by the need for evolution, not nostalgia. With Generic Everything, they continue to connect stages, promote new voices and push the boundaries of British electronic music on the global stage.
