The play about the “golden years” of Górnik Zabrze is conceived as a local story, for which the creators of Legnica invited to the New Theater in Zabrze are well known. The history of the team will naturally translate into the people who made it and the city in which it took place.

However, the story of Górnik is not strictly documentary. Theatre doesn't like the literal. When creating local stories, artists draw widely from facts, but then allow themselves to translate them into a theatrical metaphor. Thanks to this, the spectacle does not remain only local - it becomes understandable to the inhabitants of other cities. In the case of Górnik, this “universalization” of the story is particularly important, because the team's successes went far beyond Zabrze by their reach.
