The Musical Theater in Poznań invites you to an intimate concert of classical music “Chopin and...”, which will take place on November 8 at 12:30pm at the Museum of Musical Instruments. The event will take place as part of the V Paderewski Festival.

In front of the audience will perform Gaja Wilewska — an award-winning violinist of the young generation and Krzysztof Stanienda — an acclaimed pianist and chamber musician. The program included works by Ignacy Jan Paderewski and Franciszek Schubert, among others. The concert is part of this year's edition of the Paderewski Festival. The works will be performed on the unique Steinway & Sons Model D piano, which has been in the collection of the Poznań Music Theatre since this year.

Gaja Wilewska — violinist of the young generation, winner of more than 100 violin competitions of national and international rank. She has won awards in Poland, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Italy and Japan. She is a student of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in the class of Prof. Bartosz Bryła and Dr. Aleksandra Bryła.

She has performed in Poland and abroad, performing with philharmonic orchestras and on the most important music stages. She is a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the “Young Poland” program and the Marshals of the Lodz and Wielkopolska Voivodships. In 2025 she was awarded the Student Nobel Prize in the “Art” category.

Krzysztof Stanienda — extremely talented pianist-chamber musician, laureate of many international competitions, scholarship holder of the “Young Poland” program of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. He has recorded several chamber music recordings with Chopin Piano Quintet, Roksana Kwaśnikowska and Sławomir Tomasik. He has performed at many important festivals in the country and abroad, including in Japan, Great Britain, Russia, Spain and Switzerland. He has been teaching at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw since 2012. He has been a co-creator of the Jan Stanienda International Music Workshops in Kołobrzeg and Podków Leśna since 2020, and as a pianist-tutor he has been collaborating since 2008 on many music courses, including the Tadeusz Wroński International Violin Course in Puławy.
