About the event

Christian Ehring, known as host of “extra 3” and ensemble member of the “Heute Show”, is once again touring the country with a brand-new solo program. And that's a good thing. Because his wit, his spontaneity and his empathy are needed everywhere. Especially here, especially now.

The country is divided. Day by day, the trenches get deeper, the fronts harder and the customs harsher. Conflicts escalate within seconds. Where there used to be civilized debates, today people only grumble and insult, so that people want to shout non-stop: “Have you ever heard anything about politeness, you ass cramps?! ”

Admittedly, even Ehring has not always held back in the war of positions of opinion. He, too, has already dissed and bashed, shamed, silenced and fronted — sometimes without even knowing what these terms actually mean. But now he says: Stop the division! The satirical professional with the Johannes Rau Memorial Jaefer has retrained and wants to reconcile from now on: Himself with us, us with the

World, left with right, Elmex with Aronal. And where could this be better achieved than in the very specific here and now of a theatre evening?

Viewers can expect a highly topical, political, personal and also discursive show that does not focus on what divides us, but on what still binds us all together. For Ehring, one thing is certain: reconciliation starts with listening.

We should do that. And that was him.

Text and music: Christian Ehring
