Christian Fuhlendorff comes to Bremen Theater with his new comedy show EVERYDAY HERO

“There's that moment, isn't it? Where you realize that the doctor is younger than you. The police officer stopping you started in elementary school when you went out yourself. And someone from your old class has become something as old and dusty as a minister. And you think: When did that happen? When did I become the old one in space? And the worst part is... I didn't do anything. I just showed up and all of a sudden I was 44.”

In Everyday Hero, Christian Fuhlendorff tackles the strange adult life we all thought was going to be something completely different. About children, relationships, work, the Tinder stories of youth and the dream of just ten minutes of peace.

With ordinary self-irony and sharp observation, he concludes the trilogy after It's Funny and Honestly — without trying to teach the audience anything at all. It's going to be another show where you just show up to laugh through.

“Because the truth is, we all thought we were supposed to be superheroes. And look at us now. A bunch of men in Crocs whose greatest dream is ten minutes of undisturbed peace in the toilet. Not Batman. Not Spider-Man. Just an ordinary guy who is too tired to save the world, yet still does his best to take care of those he loves.”

Maybe that's what an everyday hero is.
