Is it possible to paint music? And then... play it with your own image? We will check it out during the next Family Saturday with Culture.
During the Chromatophon workshop, children will combine painting, music and technology. First, they will create their own color images according to the guiding tips. Then it's time for an experiment: a special instrument — the chromatophone — will read the colors from the
painted works and turns them into sounds. In this way, the picture will become music, and its authors - performers of their own work.
Children will use a graphic “score” that will tell them how to guide the chromatophone through the image. Together they will perform “Etudes for 4 Chromatophones” by Jarek Kordaczuk.
This is a workshop for those who like to paint, experiment, discover what happens when we combine art with technology — and for those who just want to see what red, blue or yellow sounds like.
It is not necessary to be able to paint or play an instrument. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to play.
