What happens in the body during one calm exhalation?
We breathe about 20,000 times a day... but do we really benefit from it?
Recent studies show that the way you breathe affects brain function, stress levels, concentration, sleep and even the body's resistance. During the meeting, we will see why exhaling is one of the easiest ways to calm the nervous system.
We will learn simple breathing exercises, elements of mindfulness, selected Brain Gym® exercises and gentle movement inspired by Qi Gong that can be used at work, at home and anywhere you need a little more peace.
Because sometimes the best medicine is... deep breathing.
Body — Mind — Emotions is a series of lectures and workshops for adults and seniors
Sometimes all it takes is one conscious breath, a few simple movements or a leisurely walk to feel the difference. During the meetings, we will explore how modern science explains what our body has often known for a long time. Each meeting consists of a short, inspiring lecture part based on current knowledge in neurobiology, psychology and physiology, and a practical part, during which participants will experience simple exercises to support health, memory, concentration, emotional balance and well-being.
It is not necessary to have the condition of an athlete or any experience. All you need is curiosity and a desire to take care of yourself.
The meetings are conducted by Iwona Sołak.
Admission to the class is free, but to take part in the class you need to get a free ticket — at the top of the “sign up” page.
The event takes place as part of the project “SMS to premises”, which is implemented by the Municipal Cultural Center in Szczecin, the Słowianin Culture Center and the Culture Center “Skolwin Club”.
The project is financed by the Municipality of Szczecin.
