Silent flood

A closed, pacifist religious community lives on the Dniester River in western Ukraine, which has maintained its traditional way of life for generations. Residents work on the land, use horses and do not use electricity.

Their peaceful world is confronted with two powerful forces — flood and war. The film observes the community with extraordinary closeness, showing how contemporary events penetrate a world that for years has tried to remain outside of external reality.
