WATCHING ON THE BIG SCREEN!

We invite you to the next installment of our review. Before the screening of the film “Under the Mighty Angel” we will meet with Tomasz Madejski — cinematographer.

The conversation will be led by Aneta Kopacz — director.

Jerzy (Robert Więckiewicz) is a writer and alcoholic. We get to know him at the moment when he believed he could win with addiction. He falls in love with a young girl (Julia Kievskaya) and finally feels that he has something to live for and for whom. However, it does not last long. One day he goes straight to the bar Pod Mighty Angel, where he starts drinking...

Soon he goes to rehab, where he meets Dr. Granada (Andrzej Grabowski), staff (including Iza Kuna, Robert Wabich) and other patients (Jacek Braciak, Kinga Preis, Marian Dziędziel, Marcin Dorociński, Arkadiusz Jakubik, Lech Dyblik, Iwona Wszołkówna, Iwona Bielska, Krzysztof Kiersznowna), who create an unusually colorful gallery of characters. One of the methods of treatment is to read stories written before, from the time when one drank. Their stories, funny and sometimes shocking, will be told by: a director, a priest, a policeman, a TIR driver, a pharmacist, a worker, a hairdresser and others. Everyone drinks because drinking is our national sport.
