DARK GRATING

An unusual return of the comedy by Jerzy Dobrowolski and Stanisław Tym, which, for censorship reasons, was staged for the first time only after the victory of “Solidarność”, in the autumn of 1980 at the Theater of Variety in Warsaw.
The story takes place in the editorial office of the newspaper “Płonacja Żagiew”, supposedly in Romania. The thing also happens in the 1970s, but these are the mechanisms of action, thinking and behavior of the public media and the entire PRL, and of the last — hopefully irrevocably past — years. They are naked and precisely ridiculed here. The show is designed to warn and remind them (history likes to repeat itself). But above all, however, it is a great comedy with a gallery of delicious, distinctive characters. We wish you a good time and always needed in such matters, reflection.
