Cinnamon Gum

Cinnamon Gum is a music project founded in 2023 by Maciej Milewski (MajLo) — producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, performing as “Cinnamon Guy”. Inspired by the soul and funk of the 60s and 70s, it combines analog sound with a modern approach to musical and visual production.

Moon Water's debut EP was released in 2023, and the album The Cinnamon Show was released a year later. Recorded using classical instruments, the album pays homage to the golden era of soul, evoking sounds in the style of Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield. The lyrical layer touches on themes of love, loss and hope, and each single is complemented by music videos inspired by shows like Soul Train.

Cinnamon Gum is released on Seagull Ross and distributed by Colemine Records, known for working with artists such as Black Pumas and Durand Jones. Maciej Milewski himself is responsible for most of the instrumental and vocal parts, collaborating with musicians from Tri-City on recordings of drums, choruses and string instruments.
