Pressure + Queen's Streak

The series “Pasem po czole presents” is a series of regular concerts taking place in Krakow. On October 16, 2026, the stop will be Klub Alchemia at Estery 5. The idea is simple — promoting interesting alternative bands and providing unique musical experiences to the Krakow audience. This time we invite you to the concert of the group Pressure, which with each of its sounds exceeds the genre framework. Is it jazz? Is it metal? Is this post rock? No, it's pressure.

Katowice Pressure was created with one goal: to create the most shocking and intense musical climaxes imaginable. Stylistically, it is a mixture of post-rock, orchestral music and trance jazz, with inspirations oscillating between bands like the Swans, Fire! Orchestra and GY! BE, and music by H. M. Górecki or Arvo Pärt. Saxophone, violin and keyboards combine here with seemingly incongruous, overdriven bass and frenetic percussion, resulting in extremely colorful and varied sounds: from improvised, psychedelic ambience, through classically understood harmony, to rhythm-driven, ostinate sound walls. Presently, Pressure is promoting their latest album [angry noises], released on September 19, 2025.

So far, the band has played more than 100 concerts in Poland, as well as in Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Portugal, Romania, Czech Republic, Croatia, including performances at Mystic Festival 2026 (PL), dunk! festival 2026 (BE), Jazz Dinner Festival 2026 (PL), Bear Stone Festival 2025 (HR), ESNS Eurosonic Noorderslag (NL), Enjoy Jazz Festival (DE), Festival ¿Underground/Independent? 2026 (PL), Avant Art Festival (PL), SHIP Festival (Šibenik, HR), Fonomo Music & Film Festival (PL), Fonomo Music & Film Festival (PL), Garana Jazz Fest, (RO), Katowice JazzArt Festival (PL), OFF Festival (PL), Soundrive Festival (PL), Porta Jazz (PT), Rock in Bourlon (2024), Czech Music Crossroads and Hradecký Slunovrat (CZ). Krółówczana Smuga — A one-man song and dance ensemble Krółówczana Smuga was created by Adam Piętak, a native of Biłgoraj. The musical narrative is guided by deformed guitar sounds, reminiscent of old, dusty and neglected instruments, found in the great-grandfather's attic or unearthed in a mogile hidden in the forest. There is also a voice, far from “white singing”, similar to that of a spoiled tramp.

The restoration of the memory of the silenced, uncomfortable, lost or simply repressed — and still indissolubly close to the culture of Biłgoraj becomes the main motive of the activities of the Royal Smuggy. But this is not ethno-centrism, Biłgoraj can only be a point of reference and a starting point — an encouragement to start searching for the 'lost truths' in their local mothers/homelands.
