Katowice Pressure was created with one goal — to create the most shocking and intense musical experiences possible. The group's work is a mixture of post rock, orchestral music and trance jazz, and among the band's inspirations are Swans, Fire! Orchestra, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, but also works by Górecki or Pärt. Saxophone, violin and keyboards combine here with seemingly agreeable, overdriven bass and frenetic percussion, resulting in a colorful and varied sound — from improvised ambience, through classically understood harmony to rhythm-driven, ostinate sound walls. Pressure has been around for several years, and the debut album “JazzArt Underground” was released in 2019. Since then, the band has released several more albums (they are all concert albums!) The last one, “[Angry Noises]”, was released last year. The musicians played over a hundred concerts during festivals in Poland and Europe: Bear Stone Festival, ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag), Enjoy Jazz Festival, Fonomo Music & Film Festival, OFF Festival, Soundrive Festival, Porta-Jazz or Rock in Bourlon.
During the Ars Cameralis Festival there will be: Maciej Klich (violin), Kacper Kowalczuk (drums), Łukasz Kozera (keyboards), Monika Muc (baritone saxophone) Michał Paduch (bass guitar).
