City Lights live with Babylon Orchestra Berlin

City Lights USA 1931, directed by Charlie Chaplin, with Charlie Chaplin, Virginia Cherrill, Harry Myers, English subtitles

A film that has never existed before and since. A timeless unique item that you won't forget. A gift for your soul Cinema doesn't get any better.

What are the pitfalls of life without loud laughter about it, what is the love found without the tear in the viewer's eye.

The love between a tramp (Charlie Chaplin) and a street vendor (Virginia Cherrill) who offers flowers is ill-fated. Because the tramp pretended to the blind girl that she was a wealthy man.

However, the fallacy initially works because the tramp saves the life of a millionaire (Harry Myers). While under the influence of alcohol, the millionaire presents his savior with money, but when sober, he cannot remember him and chases him away.

The millionaire continues to display this behavior in the future, so that the tramp always gets new money as soon as the millionaire has looked too deep into the glass. Yet the tramp must also work to bridge the time in between. When his true love desperately needs money, the tramp wants to help, but that is more difficult than expected.
