Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Clap to the beat and let the heart skip a beat with indie cult band

It's an unmistakable musical charm offensive one meets with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's potpourri of pop and colourful indie rock.

Lead singer Alec Ounsworth's and band last year paved the way past a completely sold out Little VEGA and are now returning to once again conquer the hearts of the audience. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah marched straight from the edge of the stage and into the public's ear canals with the self-titled debut album in 2005.

The debut, which last year rounded a sharp corner and could celebrate its 20th anniversary, is sonically a quirky jumble of forward-thinking drums, buzzing synthesizers and rattled guitar surfaces.

The album features strong singles such as “The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth” and “Upon This Tidal Wave Of Young Blood,” both of which are brightly coloured examples of how Clap Your Hands Say Yeah weaves together a raw expression with utterly irresistible and magnetic charm.

If you want to sweeten the evening of love on February 14 even further, you can take a sneak past Little VEGA when Clap Your Hands Say Yeah charms its way into the audience's hearts again.
