Clayface

Clayface is the first horror film in DC Studios history. It is directed by James Watkins, and the eponymous, iconic villain from the Gotham Enemy Gallery is played by Tom Rhys Harries.

Matt Hagen's lightning-fast career from Gotham street kid to Hollywood star is brutally cut short when the actions of a local crime boss leave him permanently disfigured. Rejected by his surroundings and deprived of everything, he reaches for a groundbreaking therapy that restores his former appearance. However, with the recovered face come unexpected consequences. A distorted perception of reality pushes Matt on a path of debilitating revenge, which gradually takes control of his life.

The film also stars Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan, and Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.

James Watkins directed the film based on a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini and a story by Flanagan, based on DC characters.

Produced by Matt Reeves, Lynn Harris, James Gunn and Peter Safran.

The executive producers are Michael E. Uslan, Chantal Nong Vo, Lars P. Winther, Paul Ritchie, Rafi Crohn and Trevor Macy.

Watkins' creative team also included cinematographer Rob Hardy, set designer James Price, editor Jon Harris and costume designer Keith Madden. The music for the film was composed by Volker Bertelmann.
