The lecture will focus on what is happening in Lithuanian literature today and how diverse its contemporary landscape is. Instead of one dominant trend, we will see a mosaic of themes, forms and audiences — from adult books to children's and youth literature. An important theme will be the work of translators, thanks to which Lithuanian books reach new readers. The whole will show literature as a lively, dynamic area, responding to social and cultural changes.
The lecture will be given by Agnieszka Rembielkowska.
The meeting will take place as part of the “Labas! Hello! — Days of Lithuanian culture in the library”.
