“After Love the End” is a musical project by Artur Żmijewski, in which the artist, together with a team of great musicians, performs the greatest works of Leonard Cohen in excellent Polish translations by Maciej Zębate or Roman Kołakowski. Concerts of this project are promoted by the music album of the same name.
During the concert we can hear timeless works by Leonardo such as “Hallelujah”, “Susanna”, “Dance me after love the end”, “In the secret life of my life” or “Memory”. The works are presented in extremely moving, emotional interpretations, thanks to which the viewer can fully immerse themselves in the poetic world of one of the greatest bards of the 20th century. In between works, Artur Żmijewski reads excerpts from Leonard Cohen's poems.
The album “After Love Ends” is an intimate journey in which music meets poetry, and the classics of world song gain a new, fresh life. It is a tribute to Cohen, but also an invitation to reflect on what is most important in life — love, transience, longing and hope.
