Lovis Corinth not only created over 1000 paintings, but also around 1,100 prints. Especially after his stroke in 1911, Corinth worked intensively on various printmaking techniques. In addition to series of graphics on historical and literary topics, many private scenes, self-portraits and studio scenes were created. He also often took up motifs from his paintings. He captured the Berlin Tiergarten in the immediate vicinity of the family apartment on Klopstockstraße in numerous drypoint etchings. The Kupferstichkabinett Berlin has a high-quality collection of graphics by Corinth and is a cooperation partner of the exhibition.
