Cirkovarshava. 1st Festival of Magic and Scythe at Targówek

CIRKOWARSZAWA — The 1st Festival of Magic and Scythe in Targówek will open its season on September 19, 2026, turning Wiecha Park into Lunapark — a town of unfettered imagination of acrobats and magicians. The festival will open intergenerational circus workshops, and on the chamber stage will take place the premiere of the family edumusical “Pan Twardowski. School of Witchcraft” with illusionistic effects. An important point of the program will be the revitalization concert of the participants of the “Open Ramp” program and the unveiling of the monument to Stefan “Wiech” Wiechecki. Then the Circus Parade will pass through Wiecha Park, in which heroes of legends and fairy tales will meet — including Basilisk, Mermaid's Tail, Pyzy of Różyca, Peacock from Łazienki and Palma from the De Gaulle roundabout. The main attraction of the festival will be 6 shows of the most interesting and crazy Polish artists of the new circus and the grand finale of the festival: the open-air show “Invasion of Cyberclowns”, in which the heroes of legends under the command of Mr. Twardowski will face off against trolls, memes and cyberclowns.

As part of CIRKOWARSZAWA on the chamber stage on September 19, the premiere of “Mr. Twardowski. School of Magic” directed by Michał Walczak — a family edumusical in which a Polish magician from the moon thanks to her magical powers will help the director Marenie Świrska save a certain primary school in Targówek.
