THE BEST OF CLASSIC — CYRILLIC OF SEVILLE
For the first time in Cavatina Hall — opera in concert
A unique performance of “Cyrulik of Seville” by Gioacchino Rossini will sound in Bielsko-Biała, the First Polish Capital of Culture 2026.
Recognized personalities of the opera scene, specializing in the comic works of an outstanding Italian composer, will sing in the concert.
“Cyrulik of Seville” is a masterpiece of buff opera, which for more than two centuries has been delighting with brilliant humor, lightness of form, extraordinary energy and musical virtuosity. Despite the passage of time, Rossini's work does not lose its freshness — it tells of the power of intelligence and cunning, freedom of choice, love and youthful courage. Rossini's temperamental music, masterful vocal parts and comedic intrigue create a spectacular tale in which love meets adversity and cleverness and energy change the course of events.
