Peter Shaffer's black comedy is an already classic, invariably funny one-act, set in the 1960s. We move to the swinging London of the time to witness a comedy of mistakes from the art world. The main character of the play Brindsley Miller is a poor young sculptor. It seems that fate is finally smiling at him when one evening he has the chance to sell one of his works to wealthy art collector George Bamberger. Brindsley and his fiancée Carol Melkett prepare for his visit. In order not to make a bad impression on Bamberger and at the same time to Carol's father, Colonel Melkett, the young people pick up high-end furniture, antiques and an antique Buddha statue from their temporarily absent neighbor Harold Gorring. Meanwhile, there is a traffic jam that can only be repaired by the emissary of the power plant - Brindsley's atelier plunges into the Egyptian darkness... There is an avalanche of farcical compilations
