Black Water - Watch Docs 2026

dir. Natxo Leuza, Spain 2025, 85'

Due to hurricanes and heavy rains, water levels in Bangladesh are rising enough to flood homes. The climate catastrophe forces the population to begin migration from the countryside to the city. What could be seen in science fiction films until recently becomes an apocalyptic reality. Bathed in darkness, the story of living in a sense of constant danger, uncertainty and the departure of the world we have known so far. The lack of drinking water, the cut off from earning opportunities and the loss of a roof over their heads are prompting refugees in Dhaka to call for climate justice louder and louder.
