As a character in Black on White, Izabella Malik was included in the prestigious 25th SUBJECTIVE LIST OF THEATRE ACTORS 2017 by Jacek Sieradzki in the category “on the wave”.

A black and white Penguin feels very bad in a world full of colors. He embarks on a journey to the Kingdom of Black and White, hoping that the Black King and the White Queen will welcome him and find a new home there. Along the way, he meets a hyperactive Zebra, a confident Cow and a somewhat hysterical Magpie. These animals are lonely, just like the nostalgic Penguin. In the end, however, the whole flock meets the Mouse, who changes their thinking about themselves and the whole world...

Marta Guśniowska is the author of several dozen plays for older and younger children, most often played in puppet theaters. She studied philosophy and wrote her master's thesis on the topic: The Tao of Fairy Tales. Elements of Taoist philosophy in selected Chinese fairy tales. It is compared to Jan Wilkowski or Jeremy Urzel. Her fairy tales and fairy tales are surprising, wittily informative, poetic and wise, and at the same time concise. These are attractive songs for both children and adults. The author creates seemingly unreal worlds, in which there is no shortage of fools, rogues and other villains. And always in the end good triumphs over evil, but negative heroes often turn out to be not so much evil as they were bizarre, ridiculous and deserving of help and compassion, not condemnation.

Marta Guśniowska has a great sense of humor, a great sensitivity to the word and a sense of theatricality. Any positive messages from Guśniowska are never intrusive, didactically planned, ideological. On the contrary! Permeated with intelligent humor, they organically flow from the deepest layers of the author's personality, from her vision of the world and people.

Black on white is a story of self-acceptance, tolerance of others, and friendship. The thing happens in the animal world and in the realm of black and white, but the message “for humans” is very clearly legible.
