We invite you to an audio-description tour of the exhibition “Edward Dwurnik. Pride and shame.” The exhibition shows paintings by the artist from the seventies and eighties. These are, first of all, two main cycles: “Athletes” and “Workers”. The artist painted in them ordinary people and their everyday life. He treated painting as a great way to tell about our reality. He believed that art should be accessible to everyone and help people understand each other better.
The exhibition also talks about great changes and how the lives of people from different backgrounds changed in Poland in the second half of the 20th century. Together we will get to know these unusual images and think about what they can offer us today.
We organize the meeting as part of the series “What can not be seen in art”, open to everyone, but implemented primarily with the needs of people with visual disabilities in mind. Accurate audio-descriptive description and involvement of the sense of touch allows you to get to know the works presented at the exhibition. We invite all people interested in this form of learning about art.
